Wed 29th April

What a great idea for kids - fruit lollies (i.e. kebabed fruit pieces).

Sadly they weren't made for kids but were the desserts in today's 3hr meeting that i couldn't see go to waste and i knew a little man who would love them.

Even the M25 was very good today so i collected Leo from nursery which made a nice change. The traffic gods got their own back though by closing the Great Park road and generally causing bedlam in Windsor. Leo just loved shouting "this traffic's RUBBISH" and we called Gramps to tell him what a lucky escape he had.

Tues Apr 28th

Not much going on today apart from getting up v.early and getting in the big bed with Gramps. i think the lack of room in the travel cot these days can't help.

At nursery he came back with a little mark on his cheek - Manni got the blame for it although I doubt he was even in today.

Leo is embracing the terrible two's with great gusto, he'd rather cut his nose off to spite his face rather than do what you ask him. I wanted him to hold my hand to cross the road from the Gee's to my car but he would rather have gone back to Nana's and Gramps's so i had to scoop him crying away.

He was very very tired tonight, I bet that nasty nursery don't let him have 2hrs of power napping like at the weekend. As usual he fought NOT to get in the bath and then 15mins later he fought to stay in it. He loves his books and he even wanted to read my new Lee Child hardback (it does have a subway train on the cover) but i don't think hearing about suicide bombers is probably a good idea for a 2yr old. I'm trying to save my new book for holiday but it's so tempting.

Mon 27th April

Little Leo got up at 5.45am today, mmm lovely, despite not going to sleep til nearly 8.30pm last night. He's apparently getting a bit too big for the travel cot though as he can almost push it over when in it!
Then poor old Gramps had a 90min return journey to Windsor.
It was great to see him quickly this evening before his bath. I then went for a very quick 4 mile run on my own in a Paulie record time so could be a good 10k on Bank Holiday Monday.
We both miss you very much and can't wait to give you a call later in the week (Wed or Thurs i expect)

PM 26th April

Not much to report apart from.....feeding the ducks with my new hat on and the t-shirt from last year.

And discovering the "jumpoline" round at Katie's place!
I had to take his tea over there. Here are a couple of action shots, i didn't actually notice he was airborne in the first one. He looks so different in this picture.

And Leo has developed a stammer over the weekend! Well not really but i think he likes it when he says "i wwwwwwwant one". Literally every other sentence he has been doing it and everyone has noticed it. I'm sure he's doing it on purpose though and we're telling him to speak properly.

I dropped him off at the Gees for 6pm and he was very happy playing with the remote control car and then he had a pee in the bath apparently and didn't nod off til 8.25.

I blow-dried his hair and it looks much better compared to naturally drying from wet and getting all curly, but we did have the luxury of a bath in the morning of course.

Sunday 26th April

After two nights without a bath we finally had one this morning. Lucky i got out to get dry and grab the camera as about 2mins later Leo did a big "present" in the bath. As the weather was so nice again today i put him in his new outfit which looked fab until he got tomato and then lolly juice down it which luckily all washed out at lunchtime. We saw Nana in Tesco of course and he was a good boy today so he was allowed a go on the Bob the builder ride. Before lunch time nap we dropped some stuff of at the Gee's and Leo had a kickabout with the football with Gramps and Daddy which was very nice.

Sat 25th April

Only 8 months til Xmas!
In no particular order....Leo has a new booked donated by Katie, ironically about this unfeasibly older girl who takes a 3yr old boy out to play, and a tractor is involved too!
We went to Reading (by train of course) to get the laptop fixed and went on the ride. Leo chose the motorbike and held on all by himself.
For tea we went to Stephen's and had a lovely BBQ but didn't eat til gone 7pm! Eventually put him to bed at 8.05, but no bath for two nights now which we'll have to address in the morning.
Forgot to say, i had a haircut but as Leo didn't want to come anywhere near the place he stayed at the Gee's for half a hour. Apparently he went potty just going past it on Thurs on the way back from playgroup. Bless the Gee's, will get them a little something.
Everyone loves his new shirt from George for about £2!
Forgot to say Leo's new phrase today is "what's that noise?", even when he made the noise himself with a big raspberry. We had great weather today despite the forecast of rain for the weekend.
Lovely to speak to you earlier, x

Fri 24th April cont'd

Fri 24th April

Nana and Gramps expertly looked after me and check out my fancy new trousers! I went to Reading on the bus today.

Daddy picked me up on the bike at 5pm and I then met Steve, Laura, Freya and twin Clare down the pub and had much fun eating crisps, nuts and frantically waving at buses.

We then went back to Freya's for a runaround in the garden and some milk and BIG COOK as Pat could not be found. No bath with my girlfriend tonight though as she was all pooped out. I had a little snooze in the big bed before a quick ride home in the taxi at 9pm.

Phew...what a day.

Choo choo

Whilst most of the country seemed to have great weather the first 2 days of Easter were rubbish in Wokingham. That didn't stop Leo from indulging in his passion for steam trains. He had a fab time and woke up the next day shouting "all aboard" at 6am.

Leo's Easter present for Freya?

Now Freya has lost the sides to her bed it's now a lot more accessible, what a shame! It won't be long before we "release" Leo from his cage

Thanks Freya

Here I am tucking into my yummy Easter cake, hand-made by a beautiful young lady.

A boy's gotta scoot

Leo is quite a speed demon these days on his beloved scooter.
